Anyone who accesses, browses and uses any website maintained by us including without limitation the website www.portostorywalks.com and our social networking pages or communicate with us either by telephone, electronically and/or by completing a reservation, is considered a user that acknowledges and consents that has read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below.
The booking of services included in this website shall be governed by these terms and conditions. Submission of payment to Porto StoryWalks signifies the acceptance of the terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions may be rectified whenever necessary, and apply to all our services which are available online, by e-mail, by phone, chat or through any mobile device. You should check this page regularly to ensure you are acquainted with the latest version.
It is strictly forbidden to use this website for illegal purposes, including its modification, reproduction, copying or distribution.
Taxes are already included according to the legal tax in Portugal. The prices shown on the website www.portostorywalks.com or by other means provided by Porto StoryWalks (e-mail, phone, chat, skype, etc.) include VAT at the time of booking. Payment will be made in Euro (€).
In Porto StoryWalks’ tours, visits in Monuments, Museums, Highlights and meals are not included except when mentioned on the description of the tour. For this reason, when admission fees are not included, they are to be paid by the client separately.
Porto StoryWalks’ tours and experiences require a minimum of 2 participants or equivalent payment. Pick-up and drop-off at any hotel in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia are complementary. For any other pick-up and/or drop-off outside these cities must be indicated upon reservation of the tour and will be subject to the payment of an extra fee.
All bookings must be made on www.portostorywalks.com, through the online booking form, and all tours always require prior confirmation from Porto StoryWalks’ e-mail account booking@portostorywalks.com.
Porto StoryWalks has the right to cancel tours up to 48 hours after reservation, committing itself to the total restitution of amounts already paid.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or debit/credit card, including Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, and American Express, through Stripe.
Booking up to 7 days prior to the service: 20% of the total amount of the service requested when confirming the booking and the remaining 80% up to 7 days before the service takes place.
Booking less than 7 days prior to the Tour: 100% of the total value of the service requested when confirming the booking.
In case of non-payment: the reservation will be cancelled and the tour will not take place.

The amount transferred must include the fees related to the bank transfer.
All rebooking requests must be notified to Porto StoryWalks by e-mail, clearly indicating the service you wish to rebook. Please forward the rebooking request e-mail to booking@portostorywalks.com, informing us the new service and/or date, even if it’s the same service as the one originally booked.
All rebooking requests always require prior confirmation from Porto StoryWalks’ e-mail account booking@portostorywalks.com.
Rebooking up to 3 days prior to the Tour, Transfer or Travel Planning: first one is free of charge. Any subsequent rebooking will incur a 50 euros non-refundable rebooking fee.
Rebooking in the first 2 days prior to the Tour, Transfer or Travel Planning: any rebooking will incur a 50 euros non-refundable rebooking fee.
No show policy: any rebooking will incur a 100 euros non-refundable rebooking fee.
Whenever a fee is payable, only after its payment will any rebooking be formalised.
Once the rebooking is approved, Porto StoryWalks will send an e-mail by booking@portostorywalks.com with all the details of the new rebooking and its current price. The current price difference, if any, will be borne by the customer and any promotions received on the original booking are not transferable to the new one.
All cancellation requests must be notified to Porto StoryWalks by e-mail, clearly indicating the service you wish to cancel. Please forward the booking confirmation e-mail to booking@portostorywalks.com.
Cancellation up to 8 days prior to the Tour, Transfer or Travel Planning: no charge (100% refund).
Cancellation in 7 to 3 days prior to the Tour, Transfer or Travel Planning: charge of 20% of the total service price.
Cancellation in the first 2 days prior to the Tour, Transfer or Travel Planning: no restitution (payment in full).
No show policy: no restitution (payment in full).
Tickets for Events, Monuments, Museums, Highlights and Hotel reservations are non-refundable, unless specified.
In order to establish the time periods, Porto StoryWalks takes into account the actual start time of the booked service, using the local time zone of the area (24 hours are counted as 1 full day).
For example, a tour to be conducted in Porto was booked in May, the 31st, at 9:00 am. If cancelled on May, the 29th after 9:00 am (Tour Local Time), payment in full will be charged; if cancelled on May, the 24th, after 9:00 am (Tour Local Time), only 20% of the total service price will be charged; if cancelled on May, the 24th, before 8:59am (Tour Local Time), 100% of the payment will be refunded.
The deadline for any refund the client is entitled to will be done in a maximum of 20 business days after the cancellation date, except for any factor beyond Porto StoryWalks’ control.
Any existing expenses with the refund, will be supported by the client.
Porto StoryWalks’ Shore Excursion Tours are identified and marked as a shore excursion tour type on the Site (“Shore Excursions”).
In the unlikely event that the Cruise Ship is missed after a Shore Excursion, Porto StoryWalks will arrange overnight accommodation and transportation to the next feasible port-of-call.
Porto StoryWalks will not cover overnight accommodation and transportation to the next feasible port-of-call if the Cruise Ship is missed due to preventable reasons within our control, such as deviation from the agreed-upon itinerary, illness, getting arrested, or providing wrong Cruise Ship departure information.
All and any arrangements for accommodation and/or transportation shall be made by Porto StoryWalks.
It is recommended that you take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover you before, during, and after your trip.
Porto StoryWalks will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you or any member of your party before, during, or after your trip as a consequence of inappropriate or insufficient travel insurance being purchased (if you have a policy of insurance you may find that a refund of your losses may be possible).
If users do not pay for the service booked or revoke their payment, their claim concerning the benefits of the service will be omitted.
This will be considered as a cancellation and subject to the conditions inherent to “Cancellation and No Show”.
It is the responsibility of all users, regardless of their nationality and destination, to become aware of the entry requirements for Portugal through the embassy or consulate.
Visa and health requirements are subject to change without notice, therefore we recommend that you check the requirements before departure.
Clients should have in good order their personal or family documentation (identity card, military documentation, authorization for minors, passport, visas, certificate of vaccinations and others that might be required).
Porto StoryWalks accepts no liability for the refusal to grant visas or denying entry permission to the client in Portugal; in these cases, we will apply the conditions set out under ” Cancellation and No Show”.
Any and all costs that this situation may entail are the responsibility of the client.
A roadbook will be sent on fully paid bookings.
In the case of a force majeure event (are considered effects of force majeure event as follows:
Circumstance or exceptional and catastrophic emergency that makes it impossible, illegal or prevents customers traveling)
Porto StoryWalks will not be held responsible for customers affected by the force majeure event, nor shall reimburse, or shall pay any fees, costs, expenses or any other value, booking changes or cancellations, per:
With respect to the travel arrangements made in connection with this transaction, Porto StoryWalks, represents and acts as agent for disclosed principals and independent contractors, including transportation companies, tour operators, service companies, hotels, etc.
Porto StoryWalks, is not responsible or liable for any acts, omissions, financial stability, delays or changes by any of these entities. Neither Porto StoryWalks nor any of its representatives shall be or become liable or responsible for any loss, injury, damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any extraordinary circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God;
or from any loss or damage resulting from insufficient or improperly issued passports, visas or other documents.
When booking a transfer you should mention as much information as possible such as flight number, time, origin or destination and the accommodation address, so that we can provide the best service possible.
Porto StoryWalks will not accept any complaint or reimbursement request when the information is insufficient or incorrect regarding the fight schedule of if you miss the flight; luggage excess or transportation of objects such as wheelchair, surf boards, cases for the transport of animals without previous notice.
In transfers for the airport the departure schedule agreed between both parties should be respected in order to assure the arrival on time to the airport, except in cases out of our control, and that the clients do not miss their flight.
The driver will not wait more than 15 minutes after the agreed time and we disclaim any responsibility arising therefrom.
Any change to the flight should be informed 24 hours prior per e-mail or through the emergency number as we disclaim any responsibility arising therefrom.
When booking a tour or a transfer, in case baby car seat are necessary for the transport of children, they must be requested upon reservation or up to 48 hours before the tour.
During a tour, luggage and personal belongings left in the vehicles are of the entire responsibility of the client.
If the vehicle chosen for the service is not available, Porto StoryWalks will replace it for another vehicle with the same quality level even if being of a different brand.
Porto StoryWalks reserves the right to refuse transportation to customers who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs that might endanger the driver, the vehicle and other passengers.
The consumption of alcoholic beverages and food, as well as smoking is not allowed inside our vehicles.
All software required for our services, made available or used by our portal as well as the intellectual property rights (including copyright) of the contents published on the portal, including, but not limited to: text, logos, images, videos and audio, website structure, texts, graphics, banners, and buttons, among others, are property of Porto StoryWalks and its suppliers or providers, unless otherwise stated. Its use by any means and in any form is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of Porto StoryWalks.
The breach of the aforementioned rights will result in taking immediate legal action against offenders.
By using our services, you agree to comply with all laws, statutes, and regulations regarding the use of our services, exempting us from any liability.
Any disputes between users and partners regarding costs, quality of the services, facilities or other matters, will remain private between the parties of the contract and will exclude any engagement of Porto StoryWalks.
The contents of the portal www.portostorywalks.com and all bookings made through our services shall be governed by the Portuguese law, as well as these terms and conditions and any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claims of any kind relating to them.
For any legal issue that may arise from this contract, the competent court is the court of the District of Porto, Portugal.
Porto Storywalks will send to all its clients a message (via e-mail) at the end of the experience(s), asking them to complete a client’s review form.
By completing the form, you agree that the information (text and photos) can be used, fully or partially, on the portal or other social media platforms, newsletters, special promotions, applications or other channels for the marketing, promotion or improvement of service made available by Porto StoryWalks.
Claims will only be considered when received by registered letter to our registered office, for a maximum period of 15 days, from the date of the completion of the tour and or transfer service.
Porto StoryWalks does not accept claims due to circumstances beyond our control such as:
delays due to weather conditions;
or any objects left in vehicles.
All claims received and substantiated will be replied within 30 days after notification.
All disputes shall be resolved according to Portuguese law in the District Court of Porto, expressly waiving any other.
Facilities, guest services, and amenities are provided at the discretion of the hotel and are subject to change without notice. Any additional costs such as minibar, city tax, etc, are the responsibility of the customer and are payable directly to the hotel.
Room location, connecting rooms, and bedding requests are not guaranteed and are based upon availability at time of check-in.
Customers requiring special facilities, services or accommodations must disclose such needs to Porto StoryWalks at the time of reservation. Wheelchair-accessible transportation and accommodations may be requested, but cannot be guaranteed.
Available accommodation standards vary by hotel and are not within the control of Porto StoryWalks.
Whenever there are compelling reasons, Porto StoryWalks. can change the order of the tours/experiences; change the time of departure or arrival; or replace any of the expected hotels by others of a similar category.
Impossibility of compliance by facts not attributable to Porto StoryWalks and its partners, the latter’s will not be able to fulfil some of the essential services that are part of the tour/ experience, the client has no right to give up the tour/experience.
If such facts are attributable to Porto StoryWalks and its partners and will cause the cancellation of the booked service, the client can also choose other services of equivalent price (if the proposed service organized to replace the former is of a lower price, the client will be refunded the difference).
